Daily Cleaning
- High-touch surfaces (e.g. Tables, chairs, benches, sinks, door handles, light switches and toilets are regularly cleaned during sessions.
- Appropriate cleaning supplies are maintained and stored safely out of reach of children.
Preparing Staff
- All staff have received training on Covid-19 hygiene procedures
- No staff member will come into work if they are unwell
- All staff are required to wash there hands and sanitize on arrival at the programme
Preparing to open
- Clear communication with parents/caregivers:
- Parents understand that children must not attend the programme if they are unwell
- Parents understand that parents/caregivers that are unwell cannot enter the premises.
- A minimum temperature of 18 degrees is maintained during opening hours
- Doors are left open where possible to avoid touching to open/close
- Cleaning checklist to be completed each day
Hand Washing
- Adults and children are to regularly wash hands on arrival, before and after meals and every bathroom break
- Staff supervise children to regularly wash hands with soap and water or the use of hand sanitizer
Entry to the site
- Parents must maintain 2m physical distancing during pick up/drop off
- Only one person per family is required to pick up/drop off children
- Ensure persons who are unwell do not enter the premises
- Contactless child sign in/out will be made available using our QR code
Food Hygiene
- Tables are cleaned and disinfected after use
- All food served will be given to each child individually rather than shared platters
- Children do not share food or drink (including drink bottles)
- All food handlers are required to follow standard hygiene practices
- While eating/activities at tables will be spread out to maintain distancing
Cleaning Checklist
- Tables will be cleaned before the programme, when changing activities and at the end of the programme.
- High-touch surfaces are to be cleaned regularly before and during the session
- Door handles

- Toilets
- Tables
- Chairs
- Doors are to be left open where possible to avoid touching to open/close
- All fruit and vegetables are washed before food preparation
- Tea towels washed after each use
- All resources used will be cleaned and disinfected before storing
